BRAD!

Brad came to visit for the past week! (October 17 - 25th)

I was so happy so headed to the resort a couple hours before he arrived to make it look super cute. 

The orange is streamers, the teddy bear we built in Disneyland together and all the park maps. 

The Disney Bag was filled with a few gifts I had gotten for him. 

Best Boyfriend, Brought me my favourite Tim Horton's Peach Juice with some TimBits 

(No there was not actually 50)

Below I am just going to throw together a quick little collage of a few of our photos.

Of course I cried when I watched him get on the Magical Express to head back to the airport. I had just shared my new world with him and I didn't want him to leave. After I cheered myself up a little bit I headed home on my bus. Proceeded to unpack and get myself back to the reality of the fact I work here. My friend Marisa wanted me to go meet her at Magic Kingdom, just as I was about to run to catch the bus I got a message from Brad. His flight had been cancelled. He had been given 2- $15 food vouchers and a voucher for a nights stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites by the Airport. I ran into my room mate's room and asked her VERY nicely to please take me to the Hampton. I was lucky enough to get to spend one more night with him (even though we had to get up super early) It was all worth it! The room he got was even really nice (pictured below)

 He is at home now safe and sound! I am so thankful for the past week that I was able to share with Brad. Although Disney World does not measure up to Disneyland in our eyes we both really enjoyed our time together! 

Spontaneous Adventures with Cassie

The other night it was just the two of us at home so we decided to go to Magic Kingdom on a whim!

Oh I guess I should add Cassie is one of my 5 new room mates. She is from Jersey and works as a life guard at a couple of the Resorts. 

Sister Morning

I really enjoy going to a park before work when I don't start until later. 

So the other day I joined my 'big sister' Morgan as she adventured into the wild!

I don't have many pictures as I learned in Tarzan, the cute animals are not always nice. 

Sometimes they looks so cute and innocent then they steal your boot or who knows what else.

It was a very nice relaxing morning before work, We met an amazing cast member who did Disney Trivia with us. Morgan kicked my butt and got a really cool button.

Hopefully we can have another sister day or morning again soon!  

Forgot to mention....

On the adventures I found this amazing view from the top of Everest (Animal Kingdom)

You can see Spaceship Earth (EPCOT), Tower of Terror (Hollywood Studios) 

and very faintly the Castle (Magic Kingdom)

This past week I had to say Good Bye for the first time! They were right when they warn you that the good byes are not easy because these girls (some guys) become your family. Their last week there is usually a couple things that they plan as their 'lasts' so you can go and say good bye and enjoy their last days with them.

Mandy is one heck of an amazing human being. She is definitely going to be missed like no other! Some of my best memories start and end with this lovely lady! She was my trainer and taught me all the good stuff! Her personality does nothing but put a smile on your face!

These two were called the twins, they did everything together and were similar in many ways.

On my first day ever meeting them they both looked at me then swished their thumbs across my forehead and said...

"KIMBA"

From that day on I have been known as Kimba at work.

 At Mandy's 'going on vacation' dinner they gave me this little Simba so I will always remember them.(not that I could ever forget them)

 We all went to the Boardwalk later and had some ice cream....

 and enjoyed some calm relaxing scenery!!!

 The next day since it was a Halloween party in Magic Kingdom (a ticketed event), we couldn't go watch Wishes for her last time so we went to the Polynesian Resort and sat on the Beach, 

eating Dole Whip (a pineapple desert)

And we watched Hallo-wishes, Its an amazing firework show. 

It was a bit of a rough week but I am lucky enough to say she lives in BC 

so she is not that far from me at all once I get home.

If there is one thing that I learnt from Mandy it would be...

Good Bye Duffy!

My friend Kristin and myself both have worked at the Disney Store so are familiar with the store of Duffy as I have it memorized from reading it so many times! At Epcot there was a meet and greet with Duffy the Bea. But on October 4th Duffy set sail on a new adventure and will no longer me in Epcot. Below are Kristin and I saying good bye to our furry friend! 

I lead up to it with the shortened form of his story which is shown at Epcot. 

One day, Mickey was getting ready to set sail on a long voyage. 

Minnie made Mickey a special teddy bear to take with him so he would never be lonely.

 Mickey loved the bear and named him Duffy. Mickey and Duffy sailed around the world.

They visited a sorts of exciting places and made lots of friends along the way.

Mickey and Duffy took pictures with their new pals... 

and made memories that would last a lifetime.

 At the end of their voyage, Mickey and Duffy sailed back home...

to share all their magical memories with Minnie.

 We are going to miss him so much!

A group of girls I saw. 

I asked for a photo with them and they hesitated because previous years they apparently had lines formed and were told not to talk pictures with people as they are not the real characters.

 Met this guy, he became the first autograph in my book.

 Met my girl Ariel of course!

And its not a full Ariel meeting with out taking her voyage.

 We dumped her entire trick or treating bag on the ride. 

BUT managed to clean it all up before the ride ended!

Over all a great night with these lovely ladies!
