On December 7th the Housing Committee put on a Winter Formal for all of the International and College programs! It was held at the Coronado Resort. The theme for this year was Haunted Mansion.
I had to work that day which was nothing but an interesting day! I started my day off being told that I should not work in the Canada Pavilion as I do not speak french. The guest would not let me explain that the entire country does not all speak french as she kept cutting me off to tell me she was from Canada. I later then was mocked by a guest when I noticed something inside the Northwest Mercantile had changed and pointed it out...
Me: Hey Becky look there is cookies behind you~!
Guest: Very observant you can see cookies, hey look there is a t shirt behind you!
My day ended a bit better when I over heard a group of guests talking about the Calgary Flames items but could not see why they needed to buy stuff from home in Disney World. I went on to ask where they were from. After they told me they were from Calgary I asked where in Calgary. The one gentleman said he grew up in Hidden Valley, I kind of squealed and said me too!! I told them I now live in Evanston/Creekside, A guy in the group piped in to say that him and his wife live by Sobeys! I explained our house and they knew exactly where I was talking!
It was then time to head to formal!
I had to fix up my hair and get dressed in our break trailer!
There were a lot more people then I was expecting. The food was delicious with pasta, salad, bread pudding and expresso whip cream. A nacho buffet was set up as well.
There were characters in every corner of the room for you to meet. Sadly the lines had been cut off by the time i arrived and had eaten. There were Mickey and Minnie, Jack Skellington or Ooogie Boogie man, Evil Queen or Curella DeVille, Lady Tremaine or the Evil Step sisters (Anastasia and Drizella)
A few of my favorite people!
The Canada Celebs!!
Got some awkward prom photos!
Including a group awkward prom photo
My girls at the end of the night!
I had an amazing time even though I didn't get to fully enjoy the entire night!
