Mickey's Retreat and an Easter Egg Hunt

A few days after returning back to Florida and the sunshine I went down the street to Mickey;s Retreat with Morgan and Kevin. I think it is a place where cast members can take their families for some fun times. Not actually sure what exactly its suppose to be but it is by our housing complexes.
Enjoying the sun, trying to get my tan on
Morgan and Kevin ready to go paddle boarding well I sun tan
The three of us out on the water in a paddle boat.
 Our lovely walk back home.
Did I mention I was sun tanning....??? More on that later!

Following our adventures we continued the adventure at EPCOT where we took on Mickey's Easter Egg Hunt where there was giant eggs with characters hidden on them throughout the pavilions.

It was a fun and relaxing day... except...
after Mickey's Retreat I went home and showered before dinner and Epcot as I was not feeling the greatest. I went over to Morgan's and well she made dinner I started to shiver so she handed me a blanket I curled up in a ball and passed out! No clue what was wrong so I went home put on long pants and a sweater as I was shivering. We walked around Epcot and my legs felt a bit sore but I didn't think anything of it. When I got home I put aloe lotion on my shoulders and legs as they were looking a bit red. Oops guess I got a little burnt, oh well it will be brown soon right!?
OOOOHHHHH was I ever wrong!
The picture does not do it justice...
I woke up the next morning and could barely straighten my knee. I could cook a pancake on the heat that was radiating off of my leg. But I toughened up and off to work I went! Did not last a full day I went home two hours early and called in sick the next day as I was in so much pain that I cried just looking at how red I was. Everything hurt, My legs were so burnt that they had a hint of purple with BRIGHT red. My mom figures that I had heat stroke or something as well because for the next few days aloe was my best friend and I just laid in bed letting my legs and arms soak up all the aloe they could. I slept ALOT and day by day started to feel better. One day at the beginning of this week my arms and legs started to bubble, as the bubbles broke I slowly lost what was now a reddish brown tan as I peeled. I still continue to peel and my knees are still a bit sore!
I learnt a VERY valuable lesson that day....
WEAR 100 PROOF SUNSCREEN!

Quick Post

I know I haven't updated lately.
I apologise this is not a full update just a quick story post about my day!

Today was the Grand Opening of the Wine and Beer Bar in the Canada Trading Post.  You can now purchase 2 oz glasses of our Neige Apple Ice Wine or Inniskillin Ice Wine, as well as bottles of Molson Canadian, Blanche de Chambly or Labatts Bourbon Barrel. I had fun but also felt really bad because I was on the bar all day as its just how my shift and breaks lined up!

But that is not the real story I wanted to tell....
Well working at the Bar a guest and a few of her friends came in and were just chatting with us and she mentioned that her uncle is a children's book author in Canada. We were all a bit intrigued and she continued to say Robert.... Munch....
My face went into a OMG, Shocked, Excited face. She was like "you've heard of him" and we all were like YES! Her sister said "probably because of I love you forever right?". I was said that and paper bag princess, Stephanie's ponytail, alligator baby..... and the list went on as we all listed off his books. It was so exciting. She came back a bit later with her dad who is Robert's younger brother and oh my goodness do they ever look alike! My childhood definitely came flooding back to me!

Overall had a really good day! Going to update the blog with other events and activities hopefully soon! Why not keep up my weekly to biweekly to monthly trend!
